Rivervale's Community Commitment for 2025

Rivervale's Community Commitment for 2025

At Rivervale, we believe that business success is measured not just in financial growth but in the impact we make on the communities around us. Our goal is to be the UK’s most trusted vehicle provider. As we approach the Brighton Marathon Weekend 2025, we’re excited to celebrate our partnership with this iconic event and the ways we continue to give back, in Brighton and beyond.

Brighton-Based, National Impact

Brighton is our home. It’s where Rivervale was founded. But our reach extends far beyond this city. Whether it’s supporting food charities, youth development, or sustainability initiatives, our goal is to create lasting, positive change across the UK.

2024 was a landmark year for us. Despite challenges in the motoring industry, we stood firm in our commitment to our community. We’re proud to say that, thanks to the generosity of our customers, partners, and team, we reached our £7,500 goal for Chestnut Tree House, funding a full day of care for children and families who need it most. That’s the kind of impact that fuels our passion for giving back.

The Marathon is More Than Just a Race

Our involvement in Brighton Marathon Weekend isn’t just about providing vehicles, it’s about being part of something bigger. In 2024, we supplied the fleet of electric vehicles used for course management, timing, and event setup. We aimed to reinforce our commitment to sustainable mobility. This year, we’re stepping up our support once again, ensuring the event runs smoothly while keeping emissions low.

But beyond logistics, the Brighton Marathon Weekend is an opportunity to bring people together, whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned runner. Taking on this challenge demonstrates the spirit of resilience, determination, and community. We are proud to play our part in making it happen!

Supporting Local Charities & Initiatives

We believe in putting our resources to good use, which is why we partner with incredible charities and organisations that are making a real difference. Here are just a few of the ways we’ve been giving back:

Field Studies Council (FSC)

Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. That’s why we partnered with the Field Studies Council to plant 500 trees at Preston Montford. This initiative not only offsets carbon emissions but also educates young people about the importance of protecting our natural world.

Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT)

By providing minibuses and converted vans equipped with entertainment systems, we’re helping CACT engage with young people in high-crime areas, offering them a safe and positive space to connect. These vehicles are more than just transport, they’re intended to build better futures for young people in and around South London.

Russell Martin Foundation

We’re also passionate about inspiring young people through sport. Our partnership with the Russell Martin Foundation supports youth football and educational programmes in Sussex, helping young people build confidence and skills that will serve them for life.

FareShare Sussex & Surrey

No one should go hungry, especially around Christmas. That is why we work with FareShare Sussex & Surrey, supporting their mission to reduce food waste and provide meals for those in need. In December 2023 and 2024, our CEO, Vince Pemberton, and members of our team rolled up their sleeves to help pack crates, label products and collect/distribute over 200kg of food donations.

Chestnut Tree House

Reaching our fundraising goal in 2024 was a huge milestone, but we’re not stopping there. As we move into 2025, we remain committed to supporting this incredible children’s hospice. Every mile run at the Brighton Marathon, every tombola ticket sold, and every donation collected brings us closer to making an even greater impact.

Why We Give Back

At Rivervale, we don’t see community outreach as an obligation, it’s our privilege. We’ve been fortunate to grow as a business, and with that success comes the responsibility to help others. Whether it’s promoting sustainable transport, empowering young people, or supporting vital charities, our aim is simple: to make a difference! As we gear up for Brighton Marathon Weekend 2025, we’re reminded once again that when a community comes together, amazing things happen.

We invite you to be part of our journey. Whether you’re running, spectating, or just looking for a way to give back, there are so many ways to get involved.
